Step 1 · Initial requirement

During this stage, the team will liaise with you to develop a comprehensive quote, based on the relevant product specification.

The team will cover any bespoke details, answer any technical questions, or provide any relevant product documentation.

We also may explore any alternative options, to ensure that the solution is tailored to your needs/specification and building requirements.

You can expect a bespoke quote based on the specification within 48 hours. If further details are required or technical specification needs confirmed, one of the team will be in touch.

Step 2 · Site survey

The timeline to reach this step may vary based on your specific requirements and project schedule. However, once the quote is approved and signed, we move forward with a site survey.

An experienced engineer will visit your site for a full assessment. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any technical or installation-related questions.

The engineer will also provide guidance on any preparatory work, such as ensuring the structural suitability of the site, identifying potential blockages, confirming wiring locations, and discussing additional features like emergency retract buttons or audio alarms.

During this survey, the engineer will take precise, final measurements to ensure the fire or smoke curtain system fits seamlessly into the installation area.

Based on these measurements, we generate detailed technical drawings for your review.

If the RAL colour was not confirmed already, it is confirmed at this stage. Once all details are confirmed and you’re satisfied with the plans, these drawings are passed on to our production team to start manufacturing.

Step 3 · Manufacture

With all technical details confirmed by both parties, the manufacturing process for your fire or smoke curtain begins.

Expect rigorous production standards – each system is manufactured to meet the project’s specific requirements.

The manufacturing team follows strict quality control procedures to ensure every component meets industry safety standards and our high expectations.

Expect us to keep you informed on the progress and anticipated timeline for completion, so you know exactly when your fire curtain system will arrive.

Step 4 · Delivery and Installation

Once your fire curtain has been meticulously manufactured and quality-checked to meet our standards, it will be dispatched to your site on a tracked delivery.

Ahead of the installation, our operations team will provide you with a Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS), ensuring transparency in the process and highlighting any safety considerations.

On installation day, our certified engineers, equipped with all necessary tools and certifications (including CSCS and PASMA where required), will arrive on-site and complete any required site inductions. To facilitate a smooth installation, please ensure the designated area is clear of obstructions, allowing engineers sufficient access to safely carry out their work.

If other trades are present (e.g., electricians or builders), our engineers will coordinate as needed to minimize disruptions and maintain alignment with other ongoing work.

The installation generally begins with setting up the steel framework and securing it to the structure, followed by fitting the curtain metal framework, fabric, control panel, and any additional accessories.

If power is available, the team conducts a test of the curtain system to confirm it operates as intended. We aim to complete the commissioning of each system on-site, fully documenting the installation and providing proof of functionality.

After installation, our engineers provide a brief demonstration if requested, explaining how the fire curtain system operates and any essential points for daily use.

You’ll also receive relevant compliance documentation and certifications, verifying that the system meets all safety and industry standards.

Step 5 · Maintenance

To ensure the continued effectiveness and compliance of your fire curtain system, regular maintenance is essential.

We offer comprehensive maintenance services tailored to meet the legal requirements and safety standards for these systems.
